Description
This year we are producing TWO wonderful musical theater classics.
HONK Jr!
Join Unity Stage’s
2026/2027 production for 2nd through 6th grade performers (possible exception for1st graders (especially siblings) who are reading well. 5th and 6th graders can audition for both shows. They will be cast in best role to fit their abilities. Based on “The Ugly Duckling,” Honk! Jr! is a heartwarming celebration of being different! This popular show has a witty, memorable score and a barnyard full of exciting characters. No feathers! No fur! Lots of heart! Many solos, perfect for our multi-talented youngest performers!
Auditions will take place September 20th. Registered kids will be emailed audition materials by September 10th. Rehearsals begin September 27 th.

Sessions will be held at St. Marks Church in Jackson Heights on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. September through April. Performances May1st & 2nd.
MEAN GIRLS Jr.
We’re interested in seeing 5th and 6th graders audition for both shows, They’ll be placed in roles they’re best suited for. MEAN GIRLS Jr. is a fearless musical about being true to yourself. Adapted from Tina Fey’s blockbuster movie and the follow-up Broadway smash hit, this show has funny characters, catchy songs, and a powerful message about choosing yourself and your true friends over being popular!
